I.)	preface

Y-Tracks are an extension to the existing tracks of Microsoft Trainsimulator. To develop routes with them detailed
knowledge of using the Route Editor is required.
Y-Tracks are based on geometry and sleeper/tie layout of the so called "Reichsbahneinheitsweichen" of Pre WWII German
State Railway, they are designed to show Rails of Epoch II and III with supported Equi-Joints. For compatibility to
dynamic track and Okrasa's X-Tracks they are not exactly build to scale. Y-Tracks have their own allocated space in the
global T-Section.dat maintained by David Beach. The used textures are based on the Textures for Europe1. But opposing to
usual practice YTracks use a different texture-name: YCleantrack1 and 2. This was done to make sure that the genuine
texture is used. This is due to advanced texture clipping which won't work on repainted textures. The benfit of this
approach is that you can use concrete sleeper/ties in the same layout as the Y-tracks. This will reflect german prototype
to some extent as DB and DR used Points/Switches on wooden sleepers/ties up to the mid 80s. If you insist in using your own texture make sure to rename it to yCleantrack1.s and yCleantrack2.s

II.)	credits

Y-Tracks are developed with help of numerous persons

-Okrasa Ghia	his xtracks had proven that such a project is makeable
-the team behind 3D Canvas for my 3D modeling-tool
-Roman Rachvoll	for the blueprints of the prototype points/switches,
-Paul Gausden	alias Decapod for Shapefilemanager and his contributions to 3D-Canvas,
-Martin Wright	TGATool2 used for editing ACE-textures
-David Beach for coordinating all track contributions for global TSection.dat
-Otto Wipfel	alias Ottodad for intense testing and documentation

-numerous topics to Trainsim and 3D forums,

-my family for allowing me to do that.

Microsoft and Kuju, without them there would be neither possiblity nor any need to develop additional or
	substitutional parts.

IV.)	naming conventions for Y-Tracks

this will give you an overview on Y-Tracks and how their naming is

for example Y1t190-1-9_21mStrt

1.)	All tracks are prefixed with Y to identify them fast.

2.)	the Number following Y in general represents the number of tracks,
	1 for single-track, 2 for double-track.

3.)	t is for track as most other trackpieces do

4.)	the rest is the name of the track-Piece
	Pnt Point/Switch
	Ypnt Y-Point/Switch ( future release )
	3Pnt 3-way Point ( future release )
	Xover Xover
	SglSlip Single Slip
	DblSlip Double Slip
Hz Frog piece of a point/switch
V connecting piece following the frog piece ( future release )
	Sc single and double scissors
	EndPnt End-Point of a point/switch
	Fit fitting piece

Number describes radius of curved tracks, or in conjunction with angle describes
the angle of the belonging point/switch.

5.)	separated by an underscore the approximated lenght and a short description for preferred
usage in straight (Strt) or diverging (Div) path. In the example a 21m
Straight track piece out of the family of pieces for the Points with 190m
			Radius and Angle 1:9

Following pieces are available

y1tPnt190LftMnl EW190 Base piece for Points/Switches 190 1:9, manual
y1tPnt190RgtMnl EW190 same as above, but right
			( future release additional 190 1:7,5 und 1:6,6 )

Y1tHz190-1-9Lft Frog-piece for Point/Switch 190 1:9 left
Y1tHz190-1-9Rgt dto right
Y1t190-1-9_21mStrt	Straight piece, compares to the straight path of switch with 190m Radius
Y1t190-1-9_33mStrt	Straight piece, compares to the straight path plus the frog
Y1t190-1-9_12mStrt	Straight piece, compares to the straight path in the frog
Y1t190-1-9_12Div	Straight piece, compares to the diverging path in the frog-pieces Y1tHz190-1-9xy

y1tEndpnt190-1-9	curved piece, compares to the diverging piece in Switch, Single and
			Double-Switch 190 1:9
Y1tEndPnt190-1-9lng	curved long piece, used as smooth Endpoint for Y1tPnt190xy

Y1tFit1-9 Fitting used to build parallel-tracks with angle 1:9

Y1tXover1-9 Xover 1:9, same family as the switches

Y1tDblslip190-1-9LftMnl Point/Switch to build a Double-Slip 190 1:9,
2 left and 2 right pices are needed

Y1tDblslip190-1-9RgtMnl same as above, but right
Y1tDblSlip190-1-9Xover	Center-piece of double-slip

Y1tSglSlip190-1-9LftMnl	Point/Switch to build a SingleSlip 190 1:9, 1 left and 1 right are needed
Y1tSglSlip190-1-9RgtMnl	right version
Y1tSblSlip190-1-9Xover	Center-Piece of single-slip

Y2tSc190-1-9Lft left Frog piece used in Double-Scissor 190 1:9.
Y2tSc190-1-9Rgt dto right
Y2tSc1-9Xover Center-piece with Xover used for Double-Scissor 1:9
			(future release contains 300 1:9)

V.)	examples

always in direction of driving

in all examples Ponts/Switches can be replaced by Xover or SglSlip or DblSlip.

Don't hesitate to give me a note if problems arise with Ytracks, as usual include
your operating system and if it is localized and other useful hints which lead to
the issue. Software can't be improved without ( constructive) feedback.
Native english-speakers please do the same for spelling / phrasal errors.

Native speakers of other languages besides german and english are encouraged to
contribute a readme and a laying-track file in their language.
